Charlotte Mei Yee Chin is a research associate and doctoral candidate at the University of Osnabrück, with Prof. Dr. Kristina Großmann at the University of Bonn as her secondary advisor. Her PhD research centers on the radicalization and reintegration of women in jihadist movements in the Philippines, examining the unique roles and motivations of women in these groups to inform prevention and  reintegration strategies. 

In addition to her academic role, Charlotte Chin founded her company Coaching Intercultural Southeast Asia (CISA), where she provides intercultural training on Southeast Asian cultures, religions, and the challenges of Eurocentrism and Orientalism. Her experience spans academia and international development, including work with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) on projects related to values, religion, and gender empowerment.
