Supervision

The aim of the Graduate School is to offer its doctoral students and their doctoral projects intensive support. This is achieved through the supporting supervisor of the discipline and the specialized doctoral colloquia offered. Furthermore, assistance is provided through discussions and interdisciplinary doctoral colloquia within the framework of the Graduate School. Every year group of the Graduate School is supported by a mentor throughout the complete duration of the graduate program.

At the Faculty of Philosophy, a two year supervision agreement between the doctoral student and his/her supervisor is signed. This is required in order to enroll at the University of Bonn. After a positive progress report from both sides, the dean of studies will extend the agreement for another two years.
In case of arising disputes within the graduate school, the ombudsperson can be contacted.
