Vāsupūjyasvāmī Temple

The modern Vāsupūjyasvāmī Temple, constructed at Mylapore in Chennai in 1994, is one of at least eleven Śvetāmbara Jaina places of worship in Chennai. In the temple, images of Vāsupūjyasvāmī have been installed as main religious icons on the ground and first floor levels. These are surrounded by representations of other Jinas and gaṇadharas. Particularly beautiful are the pierced stone screens (jālīs) which adorn the temple. The tall basement storey of the temple houses temple offices.
