Kalpetta
Śrī Anantanātha Svāmī Digambara Jaina Temple
This is a relatively large Jaina temple complex in a densely wooded and only loosely populated area of Kerala. The main icon of the temple is a large standing metal statue of Anantanātha. The temple has a gandha-kuṭī frame and houses a number of other statues and cosmological representations
Anantanātha Jaina Temple
Also walled, this temple is in many ways similar to the Śrī Anantanātha Svāmī Digambara Jaina Temple above but is smaller and simpler in layout. In the walled compound are a number of further shrines.
Candranātha Svāmī Temple
The walled compound of the Candranātha Svāmī Temple at Kalpetta contains a large number of additional shrines and edifices. The small nāga shrine behind the Candranātha Svāmī Temple has been contained inside a larger wooden structure, creating an ambulatory around it. Typical Keralan style roof construction cover a shrine to the sacred snake guardian. In the northwestern corner of the temple compound is a rice store.
