Bagalkot
Pārśvanātha Digambara Jaina Temple
The Pārśvanātha Digambara Jaina Temple was founded in the 1970s. It has been conceived on two superimposed floor levels. As part of the upper Krishna dam project (UKP), sixty percent of the town of Bagalkot will become submerged by the waters of the Krishna river. Also this temple, last visited by the author in 2001, will completely become submerged by the waters of the dammed reservoir. .
