Śāntinātha Temple

The Śāntinātha Temple at Ratnagiri consists of a shrine, a vestibule (antarāla), three closed halls (maṇḍapas) and an open porch. In this temple, side chapels have been positioned on both sides of the front hall. These have been supplied with separate vestibule sections or front halls and can also be entered through the elongated porch at the front of the large temple structure.

Jaina maṭha

Ratnagiri has a prominent Jaina maṭha. This combines a central open courtyard, three aligned but separate image chambers, and a complex entrance area. In the past, all three image chambers were provided with antarāla vestibules, although the one in the in the east has now been removed. While the central image chamber still contains a statue of Sarasvatī, the two flanking shrines are empty today.
