Nagarjunanagar
Hiṅkār Pārśvanātha Temple
A very complex arrangement must have existed at the Śrī Hiṅkār Pārśvanātha Temple at Nagarjunanagar near Vijayavada, now in a bad state of preservation and undergoing substantial renovation. The entire temple is raised on a tall platform containing ample storage space. There are three parallel sanctums each, on the first and on the second floor levels raised above the platform. The flanking sanctums have been moved forwards, away from the central image chamber.
