Hanamkonda
Padmākṣī Temple
The roughly twelfth-century Jaina temple is located in a striking and exposed position at Hanamkonda. It is now known as the Padmākṣī Temple. It is a partly rock-cut temple with later structural elements. It is located on a small hill overlooking a natural lake and illustrates the common association of early rock-cut sites with sources of secure water provision.
