Narasimharajapura
Jaina temple complex
The temple complex at Narasimharajapura has two consecutive walled areas, which as a whole have been contained in a third walled enclosure. The five major temple buildings are largely modern constructions. Noteworthy with respect to the hall type temples at this site is, that four of the five temples are double-storeyed. In the Candranātha Temple, the same Jina is exhibited on both floor levels, whereas the Pārśvanātha Temple combines an image of the twenty-third Tīrthaṅkara on the ground floor with a large sculptural representation of a samavasaraṇa on the first floor. Also in the Bāhubali Temple at the site, a complete upper storey has been constructed, contrasting with the arrangement in the Śāntinātha Basti, where a statue integrated into the roof structure creates an upper temple storey
